There seems to be so much work that needs to be done after your guy proposed and the engagement has been finalized. The challenges will keep on coming until the day you say "I do". But don't be deterred just because you need to keep your hands on these many tasks that will follow. One way to alleviate the worrisome upcoming events is to put fun in everything you do- from planning your engagement party to the wedding day itself.

One of the best ways to celebrate your engagement is to have an engagement party. Traditionally, an engagement party is planned and thrown to celebrate a couple's engagement and to help the future wedding guests get to know one another. The party is usually hosted by the parents of the bride but nowadays many couples actually host their own parties.

Besides, diamonds are forever so, think of it as a good investment too. Seriously though, here’s a tip for guys: consider how the wedding ring will complement her engagement ring or vice versa, should you buy them separately. Those rings should compliment any other jewelry in any ensemble.
