Money Dance: A Touch of Pinoy Wedding Tradition

Last December we attended the wedding of my cousin. The wedding ceremony was held solemnly.

The reception was conducted at a restaurant over-viewing the wonderful
House of Dakay. As the ceremony at the reception goes by I had come to notice one of the Filipino tradition that they still use which is the money dance. During a "Money Dance", male guests pay for the privilege of dancing with the bride, and female guests pay for the privilege of dancing with the groom. The money is to be used for the bride and groom's honeymoon or to give them a little extra cash with which to set up housekeeping.

It was surprising for me to witness a wedding having that certain tradition and funny as it may seem it was also my first time to witness a money dance on my cousins wedding.

By the way girls you also have to be fit on your special day so it would be easier for you to dance with your gown on.

Win her YES!

Proposals are meant to be a memorable occasion. Where you propose can be as significant as how you proposed. Women already expect the dropping on one knee and you asking her to marry you. Add some spice to the moment, find a great venue to pop the question.

There could be a lot of crazy ideas you could let her say yes. In this blog that I have written I have share simple and unique ways to let the love of your life say yes to you such as:

Try to talk about the future- you can have a small talk but never spoil your plan to her. That would have been to obvious! You may start your talk about you planning to have a family with her. Actually if have been able to maintain a healthy relationship with lady for quite some time, then you should have known the answer to most of these questions by now. If not, recall. If not possible, it time to turn on the charm and reinvestigate.

Location, Location, Location- Choose the perfect spot for your proposal. Think of a place that has a common memory you share. Maybe the first place you first met, had your first kiss or maybe where you will build your first house together. At the end of our time the only thing we will have to hold on to would be the good and great memories we have had the fortune of having, so make this one count. You can also try it on your favorite resort as a couple.

Play as Edward Cullen- I'm not saying that you gotta be a vampire. What I'm simply saying is for you to know the right words to say to make her heart melt, have those eyes teary and willing say the magical line you love to hear her: "Yes, I will marry you". You should always know what to say, if you are not a skilled orator then write down what you want to say and practice it. Believe that this is not a moment for garbling words or giving double meanings. If you cannot memorize it, then read it to her. It does not hurt. The things you need to say for your proposal should be precise, direct and simply with all that you'll surely hear her yes!

And for the bride-to-be if you feel like your man would be proposing to you try to use a water-proof mascara so you wont look too ugly as you cry with happiness during his proposal.

Church and Other Wedding Venues

"Destination weddings are popular nowadays. Couples are now detouring towards the non-traditional set-up of wedding ceremonies and receptions; celebrating them al fresco, by the sand and sea, and partying under the moonlit sky. Me I’m thinking, Mactan Island –360 degree view of landscape and water, refreshing sea breeze, sand in my feet….Romantic? Yes. Expensive? Absolutely, yes. Good thing I’m not getting married anytime soon"~ Romina Tobias

There are a lot of places wherein you can have your wedding. The simplest is to have your wedding held on a church. It could be on a garden, hotels, private and public beaches. you can even choose a gazebo for the venue. Other couples even tries to have something extreme time of wedding.

The more practical wedding venue the better. Couples must also check on the budget which they would be allotting for the venue itself.

Choose your Wedding Gown Wisely

As a bride, part of your role is to choose the gown of your desire for your wedding. Choosing the right gown to wear takes time.

As we all know, "A gown makes the wearer feel like a princess, may she be a little girl or just at heart. Its flowing fabrics and intricate details captivate attention, making the celebrator’s gown one of the highlights of every special occasion. And to help bring that fantasy come alive, couturier Edward Teng lends his magical skill through his wonderful creations. ~Czarina Medina Año.

There are alot of parameters for you to consider for finding the best gown that you desire.

*Budget-Before settling down for what gown to buy or to rent you must check your budget if it is still enough for you to choose such expensive gown.

*Measurement and its Appearance-you also have to consider proper measurement. you have to be sure that it'll fit you until the day of your wedding.there's nothing wrong if you would give some allowance on your measurements.as a bride you also need to be sure of the style and design of your gown. Try to browse the internet and/or magazines to grab some ideas.

*Theme-When choosing a wedding gown, you must consider the location and theme of your wedding. For example, if you are having a beach wedding, you need a gown that will deal well with the weather and more so the heat. There are special gowns that are made for the beach and when you go online, you will be in a position to view a selection of gowns that will be suitable for you. For your gown to match your theme, look into how you can customize your dress to achieve the particular look you are going for. Do not forget that comfort is paramount when it comes to gowns.

Lastly, couples should also take note of the foods to serve for catering.

Make Your Wedding A Fairytale Moment With Makeup And Hair

Fairytales are, of course, the stuff of fantasy. But a lot of girls grow up with images of fairytale princesses in their heads. When they become brides, a lot of them take advantage of the moment and let their imaginations run wild, trying to figure out how to become the princesses they've always dreamed of being. Think about your favorite hairstyle and/or the most elegant hairstyle that you think of. Ponytails can carry sophistication. You can also have hairlocks you can have it swinging or even straight locks. If you think these types of hairstyles seemed to be unrealistic you can always try checking on magazines to go hunting for different hairstyles. After figuring out what hairstyle you want for your wedding think of make up to use. Have a simple yet elegant make up for you to look like a modern fairytale princess.

Makeup and hair are the foundation for every bride to feel good about themselves and their wedding day. After all, Cinderella wedding favors won't always cut it. And fairy tale wedding favors in general can only do so much. Living out your fairytale is easier than it looks, and with a little makeup and hair help, you'll be living happily ever after.

And oh by the way couples should also take a look on what sumptuous foods to serve for their reception before anything else.
